BMA Emporium Ltd (“BMA Emporium,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to providing customers with quality palm oil products and reliable service. This Refund & Return Policy explains when refunds, replacements, returns, or other remedies may be available.
1. Our Products
BMA Emporium Ltd supplies packaged palm oil products to retail and wholesale customers.
Because palm oil is a food product, returns are handled carefully to protect product quality, hygiene, and food safety.
2. When You May Request a Refund or Replacement
You may contact us for a refund or replacement if:
- You received the wrong product or quantity.
- Your order was damaged before or during delivery.
- The product packaging was materially damaged when you received it.
- The product has a genuine quality defect.
- You were charged for a product that we were unable to supply.
- We are otherwise required to provide a refund or remedy under applicable Nigerian law.
We may request photographs, videos, proof of purchase, order details, or other information necessary to investigate the issue.
3. Reporting Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If there is a problem, contact us promptly:
Email: bmaemporium@outlook.com
When contacting us, please provide:
- Your name
- Order details or receipt
- Description of the problem
- Photographs of the product and packaging where applicable
- Delivery information
Early notification helps us investigate and resolve the matter quickly.
4. Returns of Food Products
For health, hygiene and food-safety reasons, we generally do not accept returns of opened or used palm oil products unless the product is defective or applicable law requires us to accept the return.
An unopened product may be eligible for return where we have agreed to the return in advance.
Do not send a product back without first contacting BMA Emporium.
5. Refund Process
Once we receive and assess a valid refund request, we will inform you whether the refund has been approved.
Where a refund is approved, the refund will normally be made using the original payment method where reasonably practicable.
Depending on the payment provider or financial institution, the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may vary.
6. Delivery Charges
Where an order is defective, damaged before delivery, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise qualifies for a remedy attributable to BMA Emporium, we may refund or cover reasonable applicable delivery/return costs.
Where a return is requested for reasons unrelated to a defect or error by BMA Emporium, delivery or return costs may be the customer's responsibility.
7. Incorrect Delivery Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
If an order cannot be delivered because incorrect or incomplete information was provided by the customer, additional delivery charges may apply.
If the order is returned to us because the customer could not receive it, we may contact the customer to arrange redelivery or cancellation.
8. Change-of-Mind Returns
Because our products are edible food products, we generally do not accept returns of opened products simply because a customer has changed their mind.
For unopened products, please contact us before attempting a return. Any approved change-of-mind return will be subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the order.
9. Wholesale Orders
Wholesale and bulk orders may be subject to specific return, cancellation and refund terms agreed with the customer before the order is fulfilled.
For large or recurring orders, customers should confirm quantities, pack sizes, pricing and delivery arrangements before making payment.
10. Order Cancellation
You may contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel an order.
Cancellation may not be possible once an order has been processed, dispatched or delivered to a logistics provider.
If cancellation is accepted before fulfilment, any applicable refund will be processed according to the circumstances of the order and applicable law.
11. Non-Refundable Situations
A refund may not be available where:
- The product has been opened or used, and there is no product defect.
- The product was improperly stored or handled after delivery.
- Damage occurred after the customer received the product.
- The customer provided incorrect delivery information.
- The customer purchased from an unauthorized third party rather than directly from BMA Emporium.
- The customer cannot provide sufficient information to reasonably verify the purchase.
These exclusions do not affect any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
12. Product Storage
Customers should follow the storage instructions provided on the product packaging.
BMA Emporium will generally not be responsible for deterioration resulting from improper storage, exposure to unsuitable conditions, contamination, or mishandling after delivery.
13. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions
Where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized payment activity, abuse of our refund process, or other unlawful conduct, we may investigate the transaction and delay or refuse a refund where permitted by law.
We may also report suspected fraudulent activity to relevant payment providers or authorities where appropriate.
14. Legal Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Return Policy is intended to remove, restrict or replace any consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.
Where applicable law provides a customer with a right to a refund, replacement, repair or other remedy, that right will continue to apply.
